Born in Venice (Italy) in 1986, Gloria Campaner is considered by the public and critics one of the most interesting Italian pianists of the new generation. She began her piano studies at the age of four, gave her first public recital at five and debuted as a soloist at the age 12,with the Venetian Symphonia Orchestra. From the very first year of studies, she won the 1st Prize in more than twenty national and international piano competitions for young musicians.
Her rapidly advancing career as a soloist with Orchestra and as a chamber musician has led her to be guest of the biggest musical festivals of Italy and abroad (Japan, Israel, Turkey, Kazakhstan, England, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, France, Russia and South America ), always receiving the highest acclaim from the international press for her ‘extremely deep musicality (...) reached with a naturally refined sound and an extraordinary intelligence in her musical phrasing’.
Ms. Campaner is Silver Medalist of the ' Paderewski International Piano Competition' (Los Angeles - 2010), in which contest she received as well the 'Paderewski' and 'Chopin' best performance special awards.
She is also 1st Prize Winner and ‘Prokofiev special award’ of the “2009 Ibla Grand Prize” , after which she made her first tour throughout USA and her debut at New York’s Carnegie Hall in 2010. Laureated in many others international competitions, including ‘Cantù International Piano and Orchestra Competition’(Como, 2009), ‘European Piano Competition’ (Le Havre – France 2009),International T.I.M. Competition (Verona, 2008),‘Rospigliosi International Piano Competition - R. Schumann Prize’ (Pistoia – Italy, 2008).
In the year of Liszt's anniversary she had been awarded of the ´Prix de Jury – F. Liszt´ at the XI Concours International de Musique du Maroc, Casablanca and was recipient of the European Prize for the Culture by the Cultural Foundation 'Pro Europa' (2011).
She received as well the scholarships of the Brahms Foundation in Baden – Baden (2009) and 'Societa´ Umanitaria' of Milan (2007).
After graduating at 18 from her Conservatory studies with top marks, she earned her Master Degree summa cum laude under the tutelage of Bruno Mezzena at the Music Academy of Pescara. Meanwhile she has been selected to participate in many musical masterclasses throughout Europe, like Ticino – Musica (Lugano- Switzerland), Accademia Incontri col Maestro (Imola - Italy), Mozarteum (Salzburg), Mannes College (New York City) in direct contact with such many outstanding musicians as J. Swann, J. Rose, S. Perticaroli, A. Jasinskij, P. Gililov, L. Zilberstein, D.Bashkirov, B. Petrushansky. She's presently studying under the guidance of K. Bogino in Italy as well as attending the ‘Konzertexam’ diploma at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe with Prof. Fany Solter.
Selections of her concerts have often been broadcasted by international television and radio stations, such as RAI, Radio Ljubljana, SKY Classica, RTSI and CNN. Her new CD with music of R. Schumann and S. Rachmaninoff will be published by EMI classic in 2012.
Gloria is also very active in chamber music projects. Among several artists she played with J. Moser, I. Gitlis, A. Chumachenco, M. Abbado, soloists of the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra and of the Philharmony of La Scala (Milan).
As a teacher Ms. Campaner had already been invited to give public master classes in Itlay and abroad in institutions such as the State Conservatory Mimar Sinan of Istanbul, the International Kaznam Music Academy of Astana (Kazakhstan)and the Hangzhou University (China).
In October 2009, Ms. Campaner was awarded 2010-2011 European Ambassador for Culture as part of the cultural program: Piano, Reflet de la Culture Europèenne.
Gloria is an official Steinway & Sons Artist .
Recent highlights include debùts at Cracow and Warsaw Philharmony Hall, at the Salle Cortot of Paris, Oriental Arts Centre of Shanghai and National Centre for Performing Arts of Beijing.
